Dog Odor-Why Can’t I Find It?
Dog Odor-Why Can’t I Find It?
I received this question today…
Hello, we are having a very frustrating time with a pet urine odor at different areas throughout the house. Our dog is no longer alive and we have a cat that is an indoor/ outdoor cat, that goes outside to do his business. We cannot figure out where the smells are coming from. We think it might be in the hardwoods. We have a couple of area rugs being cleaned, but the smell still persists. Please help. Thank you
Thanks for your question, the first thing you’ll need it a black light to find the actual dog odor deposits. With out it, you’ll be shooting in the dark. Most people assume that their pet only went in the areas they know of.
But that’s almost never the case. You’ll see what i’m talking about after you use the black.
Secondly, with the black light you’ll want to use a piece of chalk or masking tape to mark out the spots you find. Don’t panic.
Because you’ll may see several areas were your dog has made it’s mark.
Thirdly, now that you know where the dog odor deposits are, you’ll need a dog odor removal product that works everytime.
I use and recommend Pet Friendly For Odor. It is the best dog urine odor product on the market.
I guarantee results for my clients everytime. Finally, the reason why you may have additional pet odor, is because of the urine salts your dog left behind and your cat might be smelling it.
Thus redepositing in the same or simular areas. In a nutshell, remove the urine salts and your cat has no incentive to go in those areas.
