I got a Cat Urine removal question today emailed to me. here’s my clients question…
“My cat keeps going back to the same spot on my 1 1/2 year old carpet to urinate (not sure if spraying, as I don’t know the difference between the two if there is a difference) and the product (used several times) takes out most of the smell, but not all of it. What to do with the smell? The stain comes out, but not the smell. I’ve injected the carpet, but he still goes back there. I’m keeping my cat, so removing him is not an issue and I can’t quarantine off the area. At what point do I get new carpet (just for that spot)? How many times should I apply the product to the carpet? Will it “eat” the backing off of the carpet/pad? If you plan on a video, you are more than welcome to come to my house to do a demo. ”

Thanks for your input….where do I start : )
As for odor you may want to use a black light, at first this may scare you, as it will reaveal all the areas your pets accidence.
Secondly, if you see more then one deposit, go here to see what that looks likes. That’s where you know where to concentrate
your efforts. As to howmany time to treat…if done properly you will only need to treat 1-2 times a the most.
Susan what usually happens is not enough is being applied direct to the source or all of the deposits are not being found.
The latter is most likely the case.
You are on the right track, No question, you have the product and a carpet injector this will give you the leg up over anything else you’ll find. So confirm you don’t have one of the two reasons above and get back to me.
As for the video, If you lived closer i would come over in a heart beat. I’m in Chicago where are you?
Finally as far as “eating” the backing” of your carpet, the answer is No! it will only eat and remove urine odor, that’s it.
I should mention that we now have Pet Friendly For Odors In Gallons you can go to Cat Urine removal
Let me know if you have any other questions, I will keep your posted on the new developments.
