Cat Urine-Is there Help For Me?
I got a Cat Urine removal question today emailed to me and here’s her question…
“My cat keeps going back to the same spot on my 1 1/2 year old carpet to urinate
(not sure if spraying, as I don’t know the difference between the two if there is a difference) and the product (used several times) takes out most of the smell, but not all of it. What to do with the smell?
The stain comes out, but not the smell. I’ve injected the carpet, but he still goes back there.
I’m keeping my cat, so removing him is not an issue and I can’t quarantine off the area.
At what point do I get new carpet (just for that spot)? How many times should I apply the product to the carpet? Will it “eat” the backing off of the carpet/pad? If you plan on a video, you are more than welcome to come to my house to do a demo. “
Thanks for that question. You must keep using the product in order to keep the urine salts from causing you a long term problem, if the cat smells the area he’s gone in before he will go again. The product will take care of that as long as you give it enough dwell time to do it’s job. Not letting to cat have full range over the home will help in the areas were you’re treating. So continue treating and at least during the 72 hour time frame see if you can keep them from this area.
